College Profile:

TVS TEACHER TRAINING ACADEMY (B.Ed) incepted in the academic year 2009-2010, is another feather in the cap of Lakshmi Vidya Sangham the educational trust of TVS, which takes untiring ventures towards expanding its educational services. TVS TEACHER TRAINING ACADEMY is located in the sprawling Lakshmi School Campus endowed with a beautiful ambience and comprising all required infrastructural facilities like air-conditioned A.V. Hall, seminar Hall, library and advanced technical A.V aids and well-equipped lecture halls etc. The College is permitted to have an annual intake of 100 Teacher Trainees. The College has now entered its Eleventh year of service. The College has more than adequate infrastructure facilities.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Beyond Curriculum:

TVS Teacher Training Academy offers opportunity for all trainees in co-curricular activities.

  • The Students' potentials are identified and encouraged.
  • Regular classes are organized and intensive training is given by professionals after regular class hours.
  • Outstanding students are selected according to their performance.
  • Special training is given for the outstanding students to participate in intra-inter-state-national-competitions.
  • Thought for the day, News reading, Sharing of Value Based Experiences, Quiz time, Tongue Twisters, Amazing facts of the world, Vocabulary time etc are included in the morning assembly sessions.
  • Celebrations of Important Days like Teachers’Day, Independence Day, Women’s Day and Republic Day are held in the campus.
  • The last period of each day is allotted for Communicative English, Library, Yoga, ICT, Sport, SUPW and Psychology Laboratory.
  • Awareness programs, Club Activities, Competitions, Field Work, Camps, Sports and Tournaments are organized.
  • Seminars, Workshops and Conferences are held.
